✔️The first part of the festival will be opened by the Ottawa Children's Choir performing the anthem of Ukraine and Canada from 11:00 to 1:00, and we expect welcoming remarks from the Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada and the Mayor of Carlton Place. There will be words of gratitude from representatives of the Ukrainian community to the local community for their support in the adaptation and integration of newly arrived Ukrainians. Ukrainian children will show a presentation about Ukraine, its achievements, and the heroic struggle for independence and democratic values during the war. During the first part of the festival, a charity project will be presented and a fundraiser will be announced to help Ukrainian children who lost their parents during the war in Ukraine.
✔️ In the second part of the festival, from 1:00 to 3:00, festival guests will be able to buy national Ukrainian dishes in the Ukrainian cafe and visit 7 locations with master classes specially designed and prepared for this event. During the second part of the festival, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy music by contemporary Ukrainian artists.
✔️ The third part of the festival will feature Ukrainian folk songs performed by male and female choirs from 3:00 to 4:00. At the conclusion of the festival, we invite Father Taras, rector of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Ottawa, to speak and pray for Ukraine.
